Shesh - I am really struggling this year with dd's solo costume! I know I want to use denim, and I thought I wanted jeans but couldn't decide if I wanted actual jeans or to have dance pants made from denim to look like jeans.
Now someone suggested capri's? But not sure how that will look with tap shoes and should she wear tight, socks, or nothing?
Then I saw a cute photo of a denim skit that was altered to give it more pizzazz - the sides were slit and decorated and they wore colored bootie shorts underneath.
Now I have no idea what would look the cutest!! Her top is a crop top that will be blinged out with trim and rhinestones.
Suggestions?? Anyone seen anything cute?

| Lots of tap soloists at our studio wear blinged jeans for their bottoms. They just get normal jeans. |

we use normal jeans, that way they fit correctly. And then we stone them ourselves.
Good Luck |

I have seen denim dance pants before but honestly never any that really looked good on stage. In my opinion, jeans over capris or skirts and the only reason is because you don't have to even think about tights, bare feet, socks etc...jeans cover it all. |

| We use regular boot cut jeans. Buy the ones with the bit of stretch built in if need be and hem them so they are just to the top of the heel of the tap shoes. |

Get a cute pair of fitted jeans, not too tight, ones with 'stretch' in them and bling them out We've done the denim skirt twice. Once a mini straight skirt and cut the sides and sewed briefs in and blinged out the side of the briefs. The other time we did one with a ruffled bottom and rhinestoned that, it was really cute! |
