Our studio was registered to do the Thrive Convention in Dallas last weekend. The studio had placed many calls the Thrive to see when we could expect a weekend schedule. They never got a return call. Of course they started getting concerned and then 2 days before the convention, they got their check back in the mail. I think it was very unprofessional of them to not even give the courtesy of a phone call. We are scheduled to do their competition in February. I wonder if that too will be cancelled with no warning. Our girls work too hard to have a competition pull the rug out last minute. Does anyone have experience with Thrive cancelling competitions?

I guess on the bright side...they sent the check back and didn't just issue your studio a credit. I would worry if they had kept it. Especially in this economy with so many businesses (including Dance Studios and Competitions) going under!

We've done Thrive for the past 2 years. They are a very new comp. We are suppose to do them again this year. I hope this isn't the start of a trend.

With the challenges in the economy this year I suspect that cancellations due to low enrolment is not going to be uncommon.
