Because Toronto is so close to Buffalo, I do know quite a few people who take the day off work and drive down there! I hear about all their great deals but the crowds are enough to keep me away! |

Black Friday is a family tradition. My mother, my daughter and I have stood in line early in the morning every year for the past 11 years. We have fun, don't get stressed out and if what we wanted sells out, then on to the next deal. BTW the Kmart Ad is posted, got a good deal on a LCD TV there two years ago. On the hunt for a laptop this year. |

Black Friday is a shopping tradition at my house as well. Me, my mom and my dd get up at the crack of dawn to go stand in line. We sit down on Thanksgiving day and look through the ads deciding what we want and where we're going first. There is an outlet mall here that started (2 years ago) opening at Midnight...you think the mall is crazy that is nothing compared to this. The first year no one realized how big it was going to be and how many people were going to be there. It sits right off an interstate and it was so busy people couldn't even get into the parking lot. They waited for hours in their cars to get into the lot.
We love it and even if we don't have a lot of money to spend its just fun to be a part of the madness!

we are doing black friday this year after a couple of "I swear I will never ever do that again" years. All of our family will be at deer camp and as the men hunt for meat...we ladies will be hunting for deals. I wonder who will be luckier?

I am hoping to get some good deals since money is tight. Has anyone heard of blastoff? A friend of mine is trying to get me to sign up. It looks like there is a lot of stores. |

Won't find me doing it because it's not worth the hastle. People are rude and pushey >_<...HATE that! Past few years not many good deals anyway so why bother?

I know why Canada doesn't have Black Friday...we do not have Thanksgiving and a holiday then at all! We have Thanksgiving at the start of October...and only one Monday off, so no cool shopping days. I lived in the states for 22 years of my life and didn't recall the Friday after Thanksgiving being called anything like that. Maybe it is a term which has come to be in the last 26 years I have been gone. |

I love Black Friday....the last two years I had to work but still got up at like 4am to be out with the crowds until work around 7:30. I am really excited for this year and I need some electronics so will hopefully find some great deals at the nearby Malls or the MOA

Best Buy is goingto have a DIRT CHEAP laptop this year. The wife of one of my managers works for Best Buy and said it is going to be super cheap. We were going to buy a new one, but Robbie had his IT guy wipe ours clean and reinstall everything so we don't need one now.
Wal-Mart is offering some "pre-Black Friday" sales Saturday morning. Pretty good prices on a few flat screens, and they have an Xbox 360 Arcade console for $199 PLUS a $100 gift card!!

What is MOA? Sounds like a place I would like to go!
So far the ads have underwhelmed me. Waiting patiently for Target, that seems to be my fave BF stop. Victoria's Secret is giving away mystery GC's w/ any purchase. So if you go in and buy a few small GC's on separate purchases then they will give you a mystery GC worth $10-100 with each purchase. Great to have for BF and you can give the GC's you buy as gifts or just use them on BF. My DD's love the tote bags they give away with purchase on BF!

The shopping is wonderful @ MOA!! DD and I have always been underwhelmed with the theme park inside....it is definitely geared for the younger set (think young ones and dads while Mom is shopping....). It is a Camp Snoopy, so it's not horrible. Shopping is definitely the big draw for us
We will be there in January, for a dance team comp (school). You should check it out, Mel -- I know they have cheer comps there, too.....!! |
