Speaking of penche....

When you pick up your kids from your SIL's house and your 2 1/2 year old niece says, "I dance" and does a penche. Her little leg wasn't far off the ground but she was quite proud of herself.

When your 4 year old makes his action figures practice their splits instead of fight crime.

When your 7 year old has 3 hours of dance class and comes home and keeps dancing.

When people just see your child in public and ask if she dances based on the way she holds herself.

These make me smile [smile]

When she tells me not to spend money because we have to save up for dance classes.

When she's happily willing to wake up before school to finish her homework instead of missing a dance class.

When all the shows she watches are dance shows.

When there's a pony tail holder in every room of the house.

DD15 has a dance teacher whose name is Chaine'. Yes, her mother was a DT/SO as well. She told me she gets tired of people calling her Chainey or Chain or even Cheyenne.

You clean your van and find about 100 Bobby pins. Not including another at least 2 dozen that came from shaking out your 7 year old's booster seat! Also, your kids play dance competition and make you be the announcer/judge and give out awards, including adjudication/top 10 and judges choice awards! And tapping while searching the cupboards for snacks

When your preschool teacher calls a conference since your daughter refuses to count higher than to 8.

When you go into the office at school, tell them your daughters name, and the office staff says, oh the dancer! She taught us some great stretches and warm ups the other day.

When your middle school daughter can exceed the Presidential requirement for sit ups, push ups and pull ups - for the boys......

When every single family photo has a leg hold in it. Ugh.

When my sister and I do our daughters entire comp dance at Christmas for our family and the girls DIE because our technique is terrible! Lol
