DD17 is learning her kip up (?) for hip hop and she comes home in so much pain from rolling straight onto her neck to get the pike position needed for the skill. She's complaining so much even just laying on her back hurts and she has this knot at the top of her spine. Any ideas what to do? Or tips about the skill?

If you think something is seriously wrong, I would take her to the doctor. If it does not seem serious, she could have bruised the back of her neck if they are practicing on a hard floor. If it's only a bruise, she could learn how to do the skill on a mat, or skip the skill.

this seems to be an old thread but I just wanted to say that I have the exact same thing and I use pain killers neurontin, but it doesn't really seem to help me out and I was wondering the same thing... maybe there's something I can do to help me with this?

Definitely have someone take a look at that if it doesn't improve within a few days.
