I thought that I would share this with whomever might be interested, but I recently found "The Ballet Blog" and my DD and I are really liking the web site and the book "The Perfect Point Book". The book was recommended to me by someone whose DD was having various pains around her feet and ankle and these exercises helped her. My DD is great at jumps and turns, but has tight joints (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.) and I really like this approach to stretching and strengthening, not just in preparation to point. After doing the initial tests we found out that DD's little foot muscles are quite weak and that she's using her bigger leg muscles to compensate putting strain on her feet and ankles as a result.

Thanks for posting this; everyone should read. I think too many dancers are put on pointe way too early.

Hmm...I see. That’s a good content-oriented blog on Ballet. It has covered every element related to ballet. The resources will be helpful for budding dancers.
