Do the dancers generally wear make up for the auditions?

Not much more than they'd normally wear to class.

Just think "best foot forward" and have your daughter wear what's comfortable for her. My daughter wears mascara and lip gloss, and concealer if she has a break out. She makes sure her hair is top notch and she wears her favorite (high leg cut

DD does light make-up, usually more for confidence than anything else.

DD15 doesn't like make up, but will at least put on some mascara for an audition.

DD wears whatever she feels comfortable putting on. When younger, she wore very light makeup. Now that she's an older teen she will wear makeup to highlight her eyes which are less noticeable without makeup - she is fair and it definitely brightens her up. She feels she is more of the age that one is considered "auditioning" for a job and it's best to look the part (no stage makeup though lol).
