We just moved to Gilbert, AZ from Kentucky and I'm looking for a well rounded studio with good technique for my 12 yr old. The studio must offer Pointe. I'm up to driving 30 plus minutes to get to a good studio. Thank you!

Club Dance isn't far and they have great technique and an amazing Russian-style ballet program.

As mentioned above Artistic Motion Dance is an option, they also have a pretty good ballet program.

There are tons of studios in the area but I come from the ballet world so I'm only familiar with the studios that I know have decent or better ballet programs. Some of the pointe recital pics I've seen from studios in the area are scary so I'm glad you're doing some research.

Club Dance seems like a great studio! DD says Dance Republic seems like a good studio as well! Dance Connection 2 also seems like a decent option!

I'm local and I've lived here almost my entire life - I've never heard of Dance Republic (there are tons of dance schools though.) DC2 is a good comp school but I'm not familiar with their ballet program.

We compete against club dance and I think we have against dance republic as well. Club dance is known for being good, but I have no idea about their ballet.

Club Dance sounds like your best option if you're okay with them being a mega studio. They have lots of programs available. Drill, comp, pre pro company, ballet company, hip hop company, etc. They have what seems to be a great ballet program, Russian ballet taught by Olga Tarasova! I've recently heard of some MBA kids leaving to go to Club to train with Olga! I think that it would at least be worth checking out! DD and I don't really follow the others close enough to give much on them, but will list the websites!

Olga is amazing!! My dd and I both love her.  She left MBA after my dd had moved on in the ballet world.   I only know of one kid who left - because she felt she wasn't getting the attention she wanted from MBA.  MBA has become really competitive.
