Hello! My daughter is an independent for the first time this year. She takes all her classes at a drop in basis at specific studios throughout the week. I am wondering if anyone in the southern california area has any recommendations for any drop in technique classes she could attend. She currently takes her ballet at a local ballet school but is looking for more jazz based technique classes to take as well, she spend many years working hard fo her technique with privates and long hours and doesn't want it all to got to waste!
Side note: Is this for other people who have independent dancers do it? Take lots of drop in classes at different studios? Just curious!!

My dd left her comp studio and spend the next 2 yrs competing as an independent. I suppose we could say she's competing as an independent this yr as well but she's only doing ballet comps. That said, she wasn't/isn't independent in the sense that she didn't/doesn't have a home base. It was just that her home base didn't/doesn't do competition.

All the independents we know have a home studio. They are independents at competitions because their home studio isn't there.
