Definitely not for my family.  I'm not dramatic enough.

Oh I would be dramatic. The first time Abby screamed at and belittled my kid, there would be drama and possibly an assault charge.

Suzit42 - I can't speak to possible assault charges, but the producers would love you! All of the those in-audience shots of you tearing up while watching performances. LOL!

I can't wait till the episode where the girls all escort Abby Lee to Federal Prison.  Perhaps we can even have an episode where Maddie visits Abby in Prison.  Then the new team can do a dance about it.

You all know that would be the best episode ever.

They can do a dance to the theme from Orange is the new Black and wear blinged out orange jumpsuits.

Exactly.  Hell no.

Although I might watch the episode of her being escorted to jail.  And maybe a tap dance to Jailhouse Rock?

Um, they already did the "Orange is the New Black" number in orange jumpsuits.  McKenzie wore a red wig.  LOL!

Oh, lord. I've never actually watched the show (Dance Moms, I love OITNB) so I had no idea! Everyone involved in this train wreck, at every level, should be so ashamed.

Hahaha! I see that was already said!

Um, no. I want my girls to be a part of real teamwork, not drama and back stabbing...and fakeness and "celebrity." I want my girls to learn how to dance, not how to do "a dance" every week. No no no.

And for the record, DD6 would be amazing for the show, acro tricks and sass and all. But I would never subject her to that abuse and scrutiny at such an age. She's not old enough to consent...even though she would do anything to please me. I'm not going to make a living off my child.

Well, it looks like some of you are not alone (my dancer is too old). They only had 11 dancers show up to audition at one location.

I think Abby losing her marbles and the potential jail time affected the show more than losing the Zieglers.  There are many loons out there that would still jump at the chance to become the next "Maddie".  Thankfully this train wreck is coming to an end.

With next weeks' shock reappearance of Chloe and Christi Lukasiak for the Season 7 Finale (Chloe does not dance, although the trailer does not make that clear, but she and her mom do make a tear-filled appearance in the dressing room at the ensuing competition; in order to keep it a secret, the producers reportedly made them stay in the dressing room during the performance) a couple of notes:

Abby Lee has reportedly given up the Los Angeles studio permanently and the entire group is now back in Pittsburgh.

On January 19 the Judge in her case, Joy Flowers Conti, Chief of the US District Court in Pittsburgh, issued a final ruling on the case and set the sentencing hearing for February 24. ALM is eligible for a lot of years in prison, but it appears that she'll do at most six months and may end up just doing probation HOWEVER:

The sentencing has been complicated by the finding that, with respect to the $120,000 she snuck into the US from Australia, she has admitted that she did in fact divide up the money into bundles of less than $10,000 to avoid reporting requirements AND THEN GAVE THE BUNDLES TO HER DANCERS to carry through customs.

Meaning that she is guilty of involving minors in the commission of a felony. The judge is, as they say, not amused and this action may tip the scales (no pun intended) in favor of jail time.

At the time of her BR filing, both her studio in Pittsburgh and a previously secret house in Florida were both in default and were about to be foreclosed on by Chase Bank and PNC, respectively.

The lenders agreed to renegotiate the loans, eating almost $200,000 in interest, but both properties are now up to date.

The question now is whether Lifetime has any desire to continue to support this woman, and reportedly their inclination is to cut her loose. Chloe herself may have let this particular cat out of the bag in an interview this week when,in explaining why she was making a return appearance on the show, she said that when her Mom told her that the whole thing is "coming to an end" she wanted to be with her old teammates during their last performance.

(Although since, apparently, they were hidden away they didn't see anything, but it's bit of a stretch anyway because there are only two remaining ALDC team members from back in her day, although supposedly Chloe and Nia are still very close)

No idea how much weight to put on that. She added that she "has been thinking about" getting back into competition, which could mean something or nothing.

One rumor has it that Maddie and MacKenzie will appear as well in a show of support for Abby Lee although that would seem highly unlikely. Both Chloe and Maddie have made it clear that they are no longer either friends or friendly and it's hard to imagine either of them (or their mothers) agreeing to appear together.

More plausible is that they may try to reconstitute the show without ALM somehow and bringing Chloe back is the first step, but even that seems far fetched.

This is so amusing. I'm pretty sure this show is dead in the water. There is no way Chloe would consider going back in competition. Good gravy. She's a junior in high school. Time for everyone to move on.

This show needed to die when Season 4 ended. That season was still ridiculous and far fetched, but now it's just Jerry Springer like. I used to enjoy watching the kids dance in the old seasons and took the show for what it was - producers creating drama. Now it's just boring because the dances have become so repetitive. I don't watch later seasons much, but when I do I don't make it through an episode.

She's actually a sophomore, I think. She's the same age as my dd.

I noticed that Chloe's youtube has been more inactive lately, and her little sister Clara's youtube. I'm guessing they will both be on the show if it gets renewed. I think Chloe has kept up dancing enough since she left dance moms to start back on the show. I'm actually kind of excited to see the direction this takes. It's manufactured drama at times...but also all too real at times. And now that the producers are no longer making Abby look like some sort of saint anymore...I've gotten back into watching it.

Did anyone see the first episode with the superfan comments? It was hilarious! I literally could not stop laughing. When they made mean Melissa do the evil laugh...too funny!
