Looking for a creepy/carosuel/circus song for a 9yr old solo. Could go for jazz or lyrical/contemp. So hard to find age appropriate!

Look for a song called In this shirt.--I am sorry I don't know who sings it. My dd did it for a solo her senior year, it is age appropriate.

Melanie Martinez carousel. There are different versions, some creepier than others.

My daughter's solo this year was an acro one and she wanted the creepy circus vibe - we had someone cut and mix Melanie Martinez Carousel with her Dollhouse song - it kept it appropriate and got the vibe she wanted [smile]

I love Ramalama by Roisin Blue - it was featured on SYTYCD by the amazing Wade Robson several years back so don't know how popular it still is now , it's not a circus type of song, but creepy nonetheless.

Good luck.

I like Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones. I saw a junior group to it a while ago that had a creepy circus vibe to it (I don't know if that's what they were going for, but that's what I got from it).

For lyrical, this isn't "circus" themed at all, but I like My Jolly Sailor Bold from one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies (don't know if that's the one wendigowild was talking about or not). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASe0q5D2Ubs It has a dark/eerie vibe for it while still being age appropriate (as much so as a dark song can be anyway).
