DD8's aerial routine is about growing up and has this song in it. It makes me all teary eyed lol.

A couple years ago a girl at dd's studio used Forever Young by Audra Mae.  I fell in love with it!

"Forever Young" is really pretty.  I also like "Dream" by Priscilla Ahn.

"Butterfly Kisses". The original is by Bob Carlisle, but I'm sure there are other versions of it.

Makes me cry every time I hear it, but so does "Forever Young".

Kind of abstract, but I just love "North" by Sleeping at Last.  I think I cry every time I hear it.

I just saw Waitress on Broadway and I just love, love this song.  It's basically about looking back at the girl you used to be and what you have grown up to be.

I love "She Used To Be Mine". It might be a little too lyrical, though, if you're dead set on contemporary. It would be lovely, though.
