We just watched a teaser thing on YouTube, and a girl who looks about 10-11 says "I've been waiting for this my whole life!"

Wow, that long, huh?

I will. One of the girls on it is from our dance studio so I am interested to see what the editing is like. They are a great family and I hope they did well!

Those same teachers (pretty sure it's Dancetown from Miami) have had two large groups on America's Got Talent - one just this past year that made it really far. They have some amazing students, that's for sure!

Should be a somewhat interesting show to watch, especially if we get to see more dancing from each performer. I always pray that maybe one of these dance shows will stop with all the weird camera angles while the performers are dancing. All the dance shows I have seen do it and it drives me crazy!

It's gonna be ALL about the moms!! That was clearly evident in the interviews we had.

I like Brianna and also the sassy little 6 year old with an attitude. I am not a fan of Robin Antin at all, and if the Pussycat Dolls are her idea of good dancers she should not be a judge on the show.

That tap trio was a disappointment. It was such easy choreography and had very little footwork going on. Looked like something Lily could have done at 8 or 9.

I agree about the tap trio......way easy. I think I like Madison so far, she seems fairly "normal", lol and so does her mom.

Brianna and Amanda C are the best in my opinion -- at least technically.

Well it's just starting in my time zone for the initial 'audition' episode. Just saw where Abbie did the demonstration for the dance she wants them to do. Of course she didn't do the roll on the floor, but she got a lot more into it then I expected for showing the kids the choreo. I'm gonna watch this show probably because there's nothing else on in this time block that I like, lol

I personally liked the contemporary the most. I dont think the show is that bad the mothers seem like normal dance moms some are more competitive than others. It was pretty obvious that the tap dance wasn't performed to the correct music. Nothing too crazy that I saw....yet

THANK YOU Abby for pointing out how stupid wearing one shoe looks.  Maybe that studio (ahem) will stop doing that now.

Agreed. I've seen pictures and videos with dancers with only one shoe and I always think did they lose the other one? Or can they only turn on one foot? There is no GOOD reason for only one shoe and its distracting to see.

Sometimes there IS a good reason for it.  When you do more than just turn in a dance, you need the traction that you can only get from a bare foot.  Then, in order to get 5 or 6 rotations in a turn you need the sole of a shoe versus the sticking of a sweaty foot.  When you combine those two things, it will require the dancer to wear one shoe.

It depends on the difficulty of the choreography.  Frankly, it confirms my opinion that it is perfectly fine to just wear one shoe by the simple fact that ALM condemned it.

Yes, my DD wears one shoe.  She has not been marked down for it.  She CAN turn and does on both feet and shows that in her routines.

Not really sure how I feel about using the divorce as an excuse for bad technique....

I wasn't a fan of the tap choreography, so it was hard for me to judge the kids dancing to it.

AMEN! It looks so silly! Either 2 shoes or no shoes! Yes, i'm sure they can turn on both foots but most of the time, they are not. I'll glad someone finally said that on National TV, it DOES look silly!

Side Note: So proud of our friend Miss Brianna, you did so well

I really don't think any of the dancers are truly spectacular.  I stand by my earlier post that this show is going to be all about the momma drama.

I don't think they showed all the dancers that they have listed on the website, did they??  There are 14 listed and I believe they only showed 12 last night.

I enjoyed the dancing.  I believe all of the girls are still growing as dancers.  I like Jordyn best.  She is a super cute girl!  My guess is they all compete at competitive level.  I can only imagine what Abby thinks about Levels.  LOL!

The first hour they showed them kick off the first 2, leaving it to 12 left.  This was on at 8pm, followed by the remaining 12 dancing the second hour 9-10pm.  It was a little confusing..

Ah, ok.  Thanks!  I thought that first show was just a BS show to introduce us to the cast.  I wasn't going to miss The Voice to watch it.  lol
